The story in the
Star ledger today about sewer rates going up only gives one side of the story. Rahway rate payers are already over paying to the city of
RAHWAY and ARE NOT GETTING A REDUCTION. But in the meantime, the surplus at the plant was used up. This was the most important part of this article, please
read it closely.
"The use of the surplus to reduce rates also came after demands for financial oversight by politicians in three municipalities, Clark, Rahway and Woodbridge."
He left out the part about the demand that each city receive its surplus BACK NOW, which they did. Rahway received about 130k back, not enough to cover the City
BA's Salary.
Rahway officials over charge us for sewer and have a surplus to prove it of 1.8 million dollars in last year's budget AFTER PAYING THE RSVA PLANT.
MONEY THAT DID NOT GO TO THE RAHWAY VALLEY SEWAGE PLANT RAHWAY OFFICIALS KEPT!!!
Don't be fooled on what is going on here. RVSA is being made the "scape goat" while Kennedy / Proctor and the Democrat Machine pick your pocket to balance
the city budget.
RAHWAY DESERVES BETTER!
